Overview
The Liverpool HIV iChart is an app that allows users to check interactions between HIV drugs and other medications. This can be important for people with HIV, as many patients take multiple HIV drugs and other medications, so it is useful to know what might interact negatively. The app is available to download for free on iOS and Android devices from the App Store and Google Play. It was developed by the Liverpool Drug Interactions Group at the University of Liverpool and Clubxap Ltd. and is updated regularly with new data.
Description
The Liverpool HIV iChart app is simple – users can browse the various medications and select the ones they want to check. From there, users are brought to another list of “co-medications” and they can select as many as they’d like. Once those are selected, the results show the possible interactions if there are any and users can click on the explanation to learn more about what has been studied and how much evidence there is available.
