Overview

The Liverpool HIV iChart is an app that allows users to check interactions between HIV drugs and other medications. Description

The Liverpool HIV iChart app is simple – users can browse the various medications and select the ones they want to check. From there, users are brought to another list of “co-medications” and they can select as many as they’d like. Once those are selected, the results show the possible interactions if there are any and users can click on the explanation to learn more about what has been studied and how much evidence there is available.

Results Key

The app uses a color system to indicate whether or not the drugs should be co-administered. Red means that they should not be taken together, orange means that you should be careful about dosage and timing, yellow is for a weak interaction, green means there is no clinically significant interaction suspected, and grey means that there is no clear data to make a determination.

Privacy

As with any medical app, there is a concern for privacy. This app, however, does not require users to input any personal information and does not collect any information or location. You can use the app for free as a reference and not worry about being sold anything.
